Terms of service

Last updated 14 August 2026

This is a template, not legal advice. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and names no governing jurisdiction. Have it checked and completed before you rely on it.

What this site is

StackGrid compares business software and produces a ranked shortlist from the answers you give a questionnaire. We also quote for migration work if you ask for it. Using the site means accepting these terms.

What our recommendations are — and are not

A shortlist is our opinion, generated deterministically from your answers and our catalogue. It is a starting point for your own evaluation, not professional advice and not a guarantee of fitness for your purpose.

You are responsible for the decision. Trial the tools, read the contracts, and check the claims that matter to you against the vendor directly.

About the pricing data

Prices on this site are indicative list prices collected at a point in time, and many are marked as unverified estimates. Vendors change pricing without notice, negotiate discounts, and put important features behind tiers that the headline figure does not mention.

Do not use our figures as the basis for a budget or a contract. Confirm the current price with the vendor before committing to anything.

Independence

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any tool listed. Product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only. Rankings carry no affiliate weighting and no vendor pays for placement.

Accuracy

We try to describe each tool fairly, including its drawbacks. Software changes constantly, so some of what you read here will be out of date. If you spot something wrong, tell us and we will correct it.

Quotes and engagements

An estimate shown on the results page is indicative and not an offer. Any actual engagement is governed by a separate written agreement covering scope, price, timing and liability. Nothing on this site creates an obligation on either of us until that agreement is signed.

Acceptable use

  • Do not scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for others.
  • Do not republish the catalogue wholesale as your own. Quoting with attribution and a link is fine and welcome.
  • Do not attempt to breach or probe the service’s security.

Liability

The site is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from decisions made using it — including software you bought, migrations you undertook, or savings that did not materialise. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed materially; continuing to use the site means accepting the current version.

Governing law

To be completed — name the jurisdiction whose law governs these terms and where disputes are heard. Leaving this blank makes the section unenforceable.
